Geri Lynn has integrated her clinical and medical social work career with creativity by producing and co- directing her latest project…the documentary film Justice Denied… a short documentary that takes male sexual assault in the military out of the shadows.
Before settling into her work as a social worker, she dabbled in film as a stand in for Lori Singer in an 80’s cult road film , Made in U.S.A. while filming in New Mexico.
This sometimes background actor and trauma specialist is affectionately dubbed the trauma queen, for she has clinically responded to air plane crashes, fires, 9/11 terror attacks, anthrax, robbery, Katrina and other traumatic events.
Matthews Educational Background: SUNY at Buffalo,BA in Media and Mass Communications; UNM recieved certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling; New Mexico Highlands University, MSW/LCSW and is licensed in medical and clinical social work.
As LICSW, Geri Lynn has 22 plus years of rich biospychosocial experience as a social worker including expertise about military sexual trauma/MST; and she has been advocate for over a decade.
Geri Lynn & her Veteran husband/survivor was 2 of the subjects profiled & contributors (Special Thanks) to the 2013 Oscar nominated film, The Invisible War.
